Bio:
Ivan was born in Mexico, and came to the United States at 8 months. He was raised in California. He decided to pursue a career in the health field after seeing the inequalities that the immigrant community faced when it came to access to health care. He plans to devote his medical career to working with immigrant and other under-represented communities. He also hopes to provide a voice for these groups in national health policy discourse.
